CCS: My Home Away From Home
Written by Kathrann Coppola
Covenant is more than just a school-it’s a community, a family.
I have attended Covenant for the past decade of my life and it has been my home away from home. I am so grateful for every moment I’ve experienced here as they have shaped me into who I am today.
The relationships I’ve made over the years, whether with my teachers, peers or the staff are priceless. The time, sacrifice, care and dedication given by so many teachers has made an enormous impact on my life. They’ve challenged me to be a better Christian, a better student and a better leader. We are constantly reminded that separate is hard, hard is good and God is best. Covenant has seen some of the most extraordinary teachers that have ever walked this earth.
CCS is a place of love, laughter and support, but also a place of challenge, growth and instruction. Not only have we been given a rigorous classical Christian education, we have learned life lessons and received spiritual guidance on a daily basis.
Walking into the chapel every morning to worship together, making wonderful memories with my friends, receiving hugs from the little ones and learning new and exciting things are just a few highlights of my day at Covenant. It hasn’t always been a smooth and easy ride, but God has been faithful and I know He will continue to use Covenant in mighty ways.
CCS will always hold a special place in my heart, as I know it does for so many others. I am forever grateful to God for blessing me with such a wonderful home away from home.
