We are blessed to live in a beautiful part of our country. Even after a devastating hurricane, we are often reminded of God’s glory and how He sets the standard for beauty. I am often reminded of this when I see a sunset in Bay County.
Where are your favorite places to take in a sunset? We would like to hear from you.
Below you will find some great spots if you are looking. Now that the days are getting a little longer, take advantage of an amazing sunset.
1. St. Andrews State Park
4607 State Park Ln.
Panama City Beach FL 32408
This is one of our local treasures with views of the Gulf of Mexico, St. Andrews Bay, and incredible nature walks.
2. Runaway Island
14521 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32413
Panama City Beach has many places to eat dinner and watch the sunset. Runaway Island is one of the best.
3. Kinsaul Park
1146 W 5th St, Lynn Haven, FL 32444
This is personally one of my favorite places in all of Bay County. There is an incredible view of North Bay as the sun goes down for the evening. Kinsaul Park has many other opportunities from a splash pad, dog park, playground, and frisbee golf course. There is also parking right along the edge of the water.
4. Florida State University-Panama City and Gulf Coast State College
4750 Collegiate Dr, Panama City, FL 32405
Florida State Panama City and GCSC offer a great view of the bay and the Hathaway Bridge! You can always find a quiet place to sit or enjoy a nice walk along the water.
5. St. Andrews Marina
3151 W 10th St, Panama City, FL 32401
The St. Andrews downtown area is a nice place to visit with local shops and some great restaurants. The marina is still in a rebuilding process but you can still see some of the boats. The marina area offers some incredible views of the sunset.
6. 2350 Frankford Avenue
Home of Covenant Christian School & Church
You may not consider this as a top sunset location but we do get to enjoy the views when we are on campus during this time.
We would love to hear from you.
